The Hyper-House, also known as project TreeHouse0478, is a single-family home located in Hoeilaart, surrounded by the famous Soigne forest. Positioned on a slope between two parallel roads, the house stands on concrete columns mimicking trees, supporting a wooden frame structure, blending with the forested context in both construction and structure. It features a north-facing curtain wall towards the valley, offering panoramic views and soft, diffuse light.
The house includes standard rooms such as a master bedroom, two additional bedrooms, a kitchen, dining room, etc., and an office with similar light and view qualities as the living room, catering to the increasing trend of remote work. The design is split into two volumes, primary and secondary, with living spaces in the primary, deliberately shielded on the south side from the street for privacy. The secondary volume visually balances the building and increases bedroom count.
